Merita recently helped my husband successfully obtain his green card for the United States. She has an extensive knowledge of immigration laws and is very thorough, being sure you are well-prepared for the process. In addition, she was the most reasonably priced attorney out of several we met with. Because of the importance of the preciseness of the immigration process, it was well-worth it to have the peace of mind that she gave us during the entire process. My husband and I highly recommend Merita.

Dr Rice assisted us with my mother’s green card process. We started the process ourselves in 2017 while my mother was visiting us in Texas. but timing was an issue and we needed legal advice to complete the documentation and comply with all the requirement on time. We contracted Dr Rice in September 2018. Since the beginning she was very clear in explaining our options and the best way to fill the forms and provide the appropriate documentation. Dr Rice guided us through every step of the process and was always one step ahead of our requirements. She went to my mother’s personal interview with the USCIS officer and was instrumental in helping us to have a very smooth interview. My mother is 80 years old and she was a little nervous. My mother got her green card in October 2019. We recommend Merita to help you with your immigration process. She knows what she is doing, is clear communicating your options and providing guidance through the entire process.

Three years ago, Atty Rice successfully assisted in removing the conditions of residence for my wife and stepson. Processing the application for my wife was pretty easy and straightforward. For my stepson, however, there were some complications due to a failure on my part to file his paperworks before the expiration date indicated in his green card. We were very worried that his application could be denied. Thankfully, Atty Rice is very competent and very familiar with the immigration system. Due to her great expertise, my stepson's application to remove conditions on his green card was approved without a hitch. She guided us every step of the way and provided us with feedback everytime. Ms. Rice assisted my wife and I for a marriage based permanent resident in which we obtained a conditional 2 year green card. She then helped us again in 2018 for the removal of those conditions, in which we obtained a permanent resident card. Merita helped me in getting a fiancé visa for my fiancé and then eventually helped us get the conditional green card for her about 20 months ago. I hired her because of the reasonable attorney fee she charged. I had asked two other attorneys and they had both quoted an attorney fee which I thought was too high. After completing the intake form, I met with her and she explained the 3 steps involved in the process, and the fee for each step. I was so relieved that the total fee (including the 3rd step of getting the green card) was about $1100 - $1300 less then what other attorneys had quoted. I was even more relieved that she did not ask for the entire fee upfront, but broke the fee down in three installments which were due when each step started. I am hiring her again now so that we can get a 10 year green card for my wife, and the fee she quoted is even more reasonable because she gave us a “repeat client” discount…I will keep hiring her for all our immigration needs.
